3 Days Chiang Rai Highlight Tour with Transfer to Chiang Khong

Overview

If you plan to travel to Laos by slow boat after visiting Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, we have a package for you. It starts from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, with stops along the way to visit the White Temple, Unique Temple, Blue Temple, and Huay Pla Kang Temple. You’ll stay overnight in Chiang Rai to explore the city. On the second day, we will visit the Black House (Baan Dam) and the Golden Triangle before transferring you to the Teak Garden Hotel in Chiang Khong. The next day, we will take you to the border at Chiang Khong, which is on the border with Laos, to bid farewell. From there, you can arrange your own visa and onward travel.

Details;

Day 1: Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai

08:00 A.M.: Pick up from your hotel (located in the city center only) and depart from Chiang Mai by air-conditioned car or minibus (depending on group size), approximately 3.5 hours to Chiang Rai.
Drive 1 hour and 20 minutes, then take a break at Mae Khachan hot spring.
Drive 1 hour and 45 minutes to visit Wat Rong Khun (White Temple).
Visit Singh Park Tea Plantation.
Visit the Blue Temple.
Visit Huay Plakung Temple.
Arrive in Chiang Rai and stay overnight at Hi Chiang Rai hotel for 1 night (includes hotel with breakfast).

Day 2: Chiang Rai to Chiang Khong

08:00 A.M.: Have breakfast at the hotel, then check out.
Visit Black House Baan Dam.
Visit the Golden Triangle, the meeting point of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.
Afterward, drive to Chiang Khong and stay overnight here (hotel included at Chiang Khong Teak Garden Riverfront).

Day 3: Transfer to Chiang Khong Border Crossing

07:00 A.M.: Have breakfast at the hotel, then check out and depart from the hotel to Chiang Khong Border Crossing.
08:00 A.M.: Arrive at Chiang Khong Border Crossing, cross the border, and complete the immigration process (payment on your own).
