Itinerary:
- 08:30 AM: Pick up at your hotel.
- Visit Wat Sri Suphan is one of the must visit temples when you’re in Chiang Mai famous for its “silver” ubosot or ordination building. The temple was established in 1502 during the reign of King Kaeo, the eleventh ruler of the Mangri Dynasty.
- Drive around the city moat, Stop Three King Monument to pay respect the monument of the 3 kings of Lanna.
- Then visit Warorot Market, also known as Kad Luang. This bustling market is one of the most famous in Chiang Mai, attracting both locals and tourists. It offers a wide range of goods, including fresh produce such as fruits, flowers, vegetables, herbs, and spices. The market is also a haven for food lovers, with numerous stalls serving a wide selection of Thai street food, from traditional dishes to snacks and sweets.
- Next, we will take a leisurely walk along The Chansom Memorial Foot Bridge, a bridge connecting the Wat Ket neighborhood with Kad Luang. Since the collapse of the Khua Kula, the first bridge in Chiang Mai spanning the Ping River in 1932, there has been no permanent bridge connecting the Wat Ket neighborhood with Kad Luang.
- We’ll then visit Wat Ket Karam, a temple with a history spanning several centuries. Its roots can be traced back to a time when river transport was vital for trade and communication. This temple played a pivotal role as a significant river landing for travelers journeying from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and other southern cities. Its historical role as a cultural crossroads, welcoming diverse communities and travelers, has left an indelible mark on its identity.
- After that we ‘ll drive to Mae Ping River Cruise and see Chiang Mai from the river. Enjoy a snack of seasonal fresh fruits and savor the refreshing taste of lemon-grass juice. You’ll also have the opportunity to sample the flavors of ‘Khaosoi’ a popular and flavorful Thai dish
- After that we will transfer you back to the hotel located in the city center about 15.30 pm.
